Ayr, Prestwick, Troon and the coast south towards Girvan.
Ayr and Troon have substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas with gardens and outbuildings — proper day jobs where the volume is real. The seafront flats are the opposite: small, and decided by the stair.
South of Ayr the county empties out into farmland and the drives get longer.
Confirmation, not probate
Scottish estates go through confirmation rather than probate. The document has a different name and a different shape, and an executor searching for English forms will not find what they need. It changes nothing about how we work: we invoice the executor, the solicitor or the estate, there is no deposit, and payment can come from the estate once it settles.
