33 clearances have landed in West Sussex postcodes, and they cluster around Crawley more than anywhere else — RH11 most often, then RH13 at Horsham, RH10 back in Crawley, RH19 at East Grinstead and RH12.
That is not an accident of marketing. Crawley and the towns along the A23 are close enough to Gatwick that property turns over quickly, and a house that is sold to a buyer relocating for work has to be empty on a date nobody can move.
Coast, Downs and the Gatwick belt
The coastal strip — Worthing, Littlehampton, Bognor Regis — is long-settled retirement housing, much of it bungalows and low-rise flats. The volume comes out of lofts and garages rather than the rooms people live in, and a bungalow that looks like a half-day is regularly not.
Inland under the Downs — Midhurst, Petworth, Pulborough, Arundel — the properties are larger and older, with outbuildings, and the lanes to them are narrow. We would rather know before the day whether the van can turn.
Crawley, Horsham, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill are the busy end: newer stock, driveways, and clearances tied to a completion date.
