The geography is the job: Argyll is mostly coastline, and two places a few miles apart across water can be an hour and a half apart by road. Everything here is a planned trip.
Stone houses and cottages, some with no vehicle access beyond a track. We do not work the islands — Bute, Islay, Mull and the rest are outside our coverage.
Confirmation, not probate
Scottish estates go through confirmation rather than probate. The document has a different name and a different shape, and an executor searching for English forms will not find what they need. It changes nothing about how we work: we invoice the executor, the solicitor or the estate, there is no deposit, and payment can come from the estate once it settles.
