44 clearances have landed in Southwark's own postcodes — SE15 at Peckham, SE5 in Camberwell and SW2 on the Brixton boundary.
Estates, conversions and new-builds
Southwark has more council-built housing than most boroughs and a great deal of Victorian terrace converted into flats. Both mean stairs, shared halls and lifts that may or may not be working on the day.
The newer riverside blocks are a different job again: a booked lift, a loading bay with a time slot, and a concierge who needs telling in advance. Those are easy when arranged and impossible when not.
Parking is controlled across the borough. Where a suspension is needed the council wants a couple of weeks' notice and the owner or seller has to apply.
What the work is
End-of-tenancy and landlord work in volume, plus sales and probate. A large share of instructions come from agents holding keys, with nobody attending; photographs of every room go over when the property is empty.
