Nine clearances have landed in the borough's own postcodes — TW1 at Twickenham and TW11 in Teddington.
Conservation areas and narrow streets
Much of this borough is conservation area, and that shows up in the work in a practical way: the streets are as they were laid out, the houses have no drives, and parking is controlled and heavily enforced. A Georgian or Victorian terrace in Twickenham or Richmond has a front door straight onto the pavement and nowhere to stage anything.
Teddington and the Hampton side have more interwar housing with driveways, which is easier.
Riverside properties add their own wrinkle: some have no vehicle access at all beyond a footpath, and everything is carried.
What the work is
Sales and probate in the main. The housing is long-occupancy and the lofts and garages are usually the fullest part of the property.
