Conversions, and stairs
Almost everything here is a converted house. A Victorian or Edwardian terrace that was one family's home and is now two or three flats, with a shared front door, a hall that belongs to everybody and a staircase that turns.
That decides the day. Volume matters less than what will physically come down the stairs, and whether the van can stand near enough that the crew are not carrying forty yards each time. What happens to the contents
Loads go through permitted transfer stations, including SUEZ at Benedict Wharf, Mitcham, CR4 3BQ.
Our waste carrier registration is CBDU419679 and transfer notes come back from every load. Reusable furniture, working white goods, kitchenware, books, tools and clothing come out first. Sofas and armchairs go down the POPs route, mattresses are counted individually, fridges travel separately for degassing.
