26 clearances have landed in the borough's own postcodes — KT6 at Surbiton most often, then KT9 at Chessington, KT2 in Kingston itself and KT3 at New Malden.
KT6 comes up more than any other district in this borough and among the most of anywhere on our runs, which is simply a matter of geography: it is close to where the vans start.
River town, then suburb
Kingston centre is dense — flats above shops, riverside blocks with booked lifts and loading bays, controlled parking throughout. Surbiton is Victorian and Edwardian terrace with some large houses on the roads down to the river.
Chessington, New Malden and Tolworth are interwar and postwar semis with drives and garages, which makes for easier days and volume that sits in the garage and the loft.
What the work is
A steady mix: probate through solicitors, house sales with fixed completions, and end-of-tenancy work in the flats. Because this is close to base, a second visit for a forgotten loft or a late-found garage is usually easy to arrange rather than a fortnight's wait.
Where the load ends up
