Built on a steep hillside above the river, which is the practical fact: streets climb, and a tenement flat may be three floors up from a road the van cannot stop on. We size these jobs on the stair, not the floor plan.
The stock is tenement and terrace, much of it Victorian, with some postwar estate housing above the town.
Confirmation, not probate
Scottish estates go through confirmation rather than probate. The document has a different name and a different shape, and an executor searching for English forms will not find what they need. It changes nothing about how we work: we invoice the executor, the solicitor or the estate, there is no deposit, and payment can come from the estate once it settles.
