Alloa and the smallest county in Scotland, tucked between the Ochils and the Forth.
Terraced and postwar housing in the main, with some older stone stock in the villages under the hills. Compact enough that a job anywhere in it is the same run.
Confirmation, not probate
Scottish estates go through confirmation rather than probate. The document has a different name and a different shape, and an executor searching for English forms will not find what they need. It changes nothing about how we work: we invoice the executor, the solicitor or the estate, there is no deposit, and payment can come from the estate once it settles.
